John Oliver Talmage McMickings of El Paso has been added to the Texas Ten Most Wanted Sex Offenders List. Joshua David Whitworth of Magnolia has been added to the Texas Ten Most Wanted Fugitives List.
McMickings, 38, is on the Texas Ten Most Wanted Sex Offenders List. He is 5 feet 10 inches tall and around 220 pounds, with tattoos on his back and both of his arms, as well as a scar on his right forearm. He is an El Paso native and has ties there and in Plainview, Texas.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, McMickings was convicted in 2012 for sexual assault of a child after an incident with a fourteen-year-old girl and sentenced to five years of probation. His probation was revoked in 2013 and he was sentenced to ten years in prison before being released on parole in August of 2019.
He is now wanted reportedly for a parole violation warrant issued May 19, 2021 by the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles. The El Paso District Attorney’s Office also issued an additional warrant for McMickings on October 27, 2021 for failure to register as a sex offender.
Whitworth, 36, is on the Texas Ten Most Wanted Fugitives List and is presumably affiliated with the Aryan Brotherhood. He is 6 feet 5 inches tall and around 290 pounds, with tattoos on both of his arms, wrists, and feet, as well as on his right leg, left finger, chest, back, and abdomen. He also has scars on his abdomen, right forearm, and left leg.
Whitworth apparently has ties to Montgomery and Harris counties, including his native Magnolia, Conroe, and northern Houston. He also has ties to Mountain View, Arkansas.
According to the Department of Public Safety (DPS), Whitworth was convicted in 2013 for unlawful possession of metal or body armor by a felon and evading arrest/detention.
He received two four-year sentences for each offense, to be served concurrently. After his release, he was arrested in Arkansas in 2018 for the delivery of methamphetamine and cocaine. He bonded out and returned to Texas, where he was then convicted in 2019 for unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon and sentenced to two years in prison, but he was released on parole the following July.
Whitworth has been wanted since August 13, 2020 for a parole violation warrant from the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles. The Harris County Sheriff’s Office issued another warrant for Whitworth’s arrest on December 3, 2020 for aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon.
He is also wanted in Montgomery County for alleged burglary of a vehicle and in Stone County, Arkansas purportedly for the delivery of methamphetamine and cocaine as well as theft.
Texas Crime Stoppers is offering up to $3,000 for information on McMickings and up to $7,500 for information on Whitworth. Tipsters are guaranteed anonymity and are eligible for the cash reward if they provide information that could lead to either man’s arrest by submitting a tip on the DPS website, app, or Facebook page, or by calling the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-252-TIPS (8477).
These fugitives should be considered armed and dangerous, and no attempt should be made to apprehend them without law enforcement.
