The second victim shot during a robbery in the parking lot near the Ledbetter Shopping Center has died.

The Dallas Express reported on Oct. 14 that Dallas police officers responded to a robbery scene in the 4400 block of the Dallas Fort Worth Turnpike, near Cockrell Hill Drive and Interstate 30. Responding officers found Ruby Gonzalez, 18, and Juan Carlos Sierra Garcia Jr., 19, with gunshot wounds. Police revealed that both victims were shot during the robbery.

Gonzalez and Sierra were taken to a hospital in critical condition. Garcia was pronounced dead later that day at the hospital.

Dallas police have now confirmed that 18-year-old Gonzalez died from her injuries on Tuesday, Oct. 19. Police also revealed that the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s office had confirmed her identity.

Dallas police are yet to make any arrests in connection with the fatal shootings. Dallas PD investigators said they believed multiple suspects were involved, and they fled the scene before police arrived.
