A new Pilates studio puts a luxurious and exclusive spin on a popular mind-body exercise.

Los Angeles-based Forma Pilates opened its first Dallas location earlier this week. The 3,400-square-foot facility, Forma Pilates Wellness Club, is a private, referral-only studio and the company’s largest location.

The chain dates back to 2020 when Liana Levi founded it in her LA home studio. Forma is described as an “exclusive, boutique-style studio” specializing in private and semi-private classes.

“At Forma, our main focus is form and precision, targeting small muscle groups and lengthening each muscle by slow and controlled movements. Forma’s attention to detail, technique, and posture are unparalleled. Each session is tailored to meet clients’ needs, as well as challenge each individual to build endurance and strength,” reads a description on Forma’s website.

After an intense session, clients have the option to take a cold plunge. The studio also features amenities typically found in a spa, including skincare products.

Pilates continues to enjoy popularity among fitness enthusiasts. Late last year, The Dallas Express reported on the top workout trends of 2024, with Pilates taking the most-booked workout globally for the second year running, according to subscription fitness platform ClassPass.

In addition to Dallas, Forma now operates three locations in both Los Angeles and New York, one in Austin, and one in Phoenix.

Levi told PaperCity that she identified a demand in Dallas “for an exclusive, high-touch Pilates experience in a city known for its discerning clientele and luxury wellness scene.”

“Dallas boasts a sophisticated fitness culture, with a growing appetite for curated, members-only experiences that blend high-performance training with elevated hospitality,” added Levi.

Levi says the Dallas location is more than a typical Pilates studio, and the expansion will introduce “a full-scale wellness club.”

“The expansion aligns with Forma’s vision of redefining Pilates as more than a workout but a lifestyle reserved for those who seek the best in movement, recovery, and exclusivity.”
