‘Racist Pervert’: Jenkins Condemned Over Blackface Break-Ins

Opponents of Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins are condemning the politician for allegedly raiding women’s bedrooms while wearing blackface during his time at Baylor University.

The bombshell evidence from the Waco Police Department, as reported by The Dallas Express, detailed accusations that Jenkins, along with two other men, broke into various Waco apartments.

The police report documented a witness informing police that “all three men were dressed in dark colored clothing like camouflage and had on dark oil type or paint or dark makeup on their faces to make them look like black people.”

One of the women whose bedroom was invaded allegedly by Jenkins and the others explained to the police that “while the other girls were trying to hold this door shut … The guys then ransacked the room and then left.”

Several days later, on September 29, 1983, Jenkins was arrested in relation to the blackface break-ins and held on a $1,500 bond.

In a D Magazine article from 2014, Jenkins indicated that this arrest was made for “criminal trespassing in a women’s dorm during a panty raid.” He failed to disclose that the raid had been made while wearing blackface, according to the police report.

This incident was recently brought up in a Dallas County Commissioners Court meeting by Alex Stein, a viral comedian, who brought up the D Magazine article and asked questions about said panty raid. For doing so, Stein was removed from the meeting by the police.

Upon hearing the blackface allegations, Stein told The Dallas Express, “Clay Jenkins is one of the most disgusting Dallas politicians to ever exist. The fact that he would put on blackface and trespass on a woman’s property with a plan to steal their underwear shows you what kind of moral character Judge Jenkins has, which is absolutely none.”

Stein continued, “It’s impossible to not label Clay Jenkins as a racist pervert.”

Jenkins is facing an active challenge for his seat as county judge by Lauren Davis.

Davis commented upon the incident to The Dallas Express, saying, “This was not a panty raid, he terrorized four women, ransacked an apartment, and disguised himself. He clearly does not represent the values of Dallas County. I will let his actions speak for themselves. As a Dallas County citizen, I am tired of these career politicians lying to our face and getting away with it.”

The Dallas Express reached out to Jenkins for comment, but he failed to respond prior to publication.

Oh good grief, cut him a break. College pranks don’t count.

He was arrested! That goes beyond a college prank. You would never give others such leeway.

that depends on the prank, Mike. I pulled a lot of pranks back in the day, but I NEVER broke into someone’s home a night just to “scar them” This is Texas and he’s lucky he didn’t get a bullet through his brain pan.
Of course, we’d all be much better off if that had actually happened, wouldn’t we?

College and high school actions count against Republicans, why are Democrats allowed a pass?

What a ridiculous waste of time reporting this, from 1983!! Do we not give grace anymore? Have we all not done something regrettably stupid when we were young, that sounded like an ok idea at the time?
Has he done anything else like this since then?

I caught a drug charge at 17. I’m still a felon at 38. It’s ridiculous whenever certain individuals do things, it becomes about “second chances”, when in actuality what your doing is displaying expectation of white privilege and there is no place in 2022 for partiality. He deserves to be disgraced just as he’s disgraced plenty of youth that will never get the chance to live it down

If the democrats have nothing better than this preposterous smear job, then Jenkins still belongs on the bench. How idiotic. A democrat on the bench is guaranteed to politicize the court and be way too easy on criminals in democrat voter demographics. That’s why all democrat run towns and counties are crime ridden and corrupt.

Oh yeah, ya’ll say give him a break…Funny how when the shoe is on the other foot, we need to go easy. Libs created this sword of past accountability but don’t want it used on them just folks like Trump and other Reps.

“Shoe on the other foot” or “Black on the other face” or “Top-Secret documents in another place”. Liberal=Hypocrite

What a ridiculous reply. A college arrest in 1983 is on equal footing to a former President stealing Top Secret documents from the US. A false equivalency MAGA is so good at. SAD.

How was this arrest case disposed? Please report that. Is there a record of which was intended? You state they were wearing camouflage. So was it camo paint or black face. Dallas Express has gotten raggy. This is old news.

I don’t like the guy but this arrest made him neither a racist nor a pervert. It made him a drunk college kid.

Let’s keep in mind that Animal House and Revenge of their Nerds were based on the current activities of real frats when they were released back then. Further, it seems quite likely that they weren’t in blackface, but trying to camouflage their faces to match their clothes.

It amazes me how these old politicians don’t won’t to leave… we should pass a law that kicks them out once they reach 60yrs… and their agendas!

Not a good look, to be sure. But I would prefer for him to be opposed over issues of substance instead of something immature and stupid he did nearly 40 years ago while still a very young man.
