The Italian fashion brand Miu Miu is slated to land in Dallas when it opens later this year.
Miu Miu is set to arrive at the luxury shopping complex, Highland Park Village, replacing the former Dior store. Once open, the Miu Miu location will be the only one in the metroplex.
The brand will join other high-profile names, like Cartier, Chanel, Jimmy Choo, Ralph Lauren, Rolex, Tom Ford, Christian Louboutin, Hermès, and others.
Miu Miu was founded in 1993 by Miuccia Prada. The Italian fashion designer and businesswoman sought to create a more colorful and affordable spinoff of her world-famous brand. Miu Miu targets younger shoppers in their 20s and 30s and offers more vibrant clothing when contrasted with Prada’s more subtle designs.
While North Texas shoppers can already find some Miu Miu items at stores like Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom, the Highland Park Village will be the first exclusive store to open in the region. Expect plenty of ready-to-wear, handbags, footwear, fragrances, fashion jewelry, accessories, and more.
While the Dallas location will be the only Miu Miu in Texas, it is not the first.
The fashion brand previously operated a location at the Galleria in Houston, which opened in 2011. However, the Houston location shut down before the pandemic lockdowns.
News of the Miu Miu expansion to Dallas comes on the heels of another big announcement from the company. Last month, The Dallas Express reported that a massive Prada boutique was finally open in the city. The new 10,000-plus square-foot location opened its doors just before Christmas at NorthPark Center. The store occupies one of the largest spaces in the mall’s south corridor.
Like Highland Park Village, NorthPark Center also tilts toward luxury brands, like Gucci, Versace, and ME+EM, which similarly opened recently at the mall.
