Contractors working at a Sachse property found possible human remains on February 26 while performing general land maintenance and clearing.
Sachse Police were called to the scene at 4500 block of Merritt Road. Upon their arrival, at about 5:50 p.m., responding officers were taken by the property owner to the area where the possible remains were found.
The officers saw what looked like partial human skeletal remains, which they secured and handed over to the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office to be examined and identified, according to CBS 11.
The area is being searched by the police department and other law enforcement agents in order to find additional remains, if there are any.
Police have not provided further information on the case. However, they say their investigation is ongoing.
