Dallas is set to join the likes of Aspen, Milan, Paris, Palm Beach, and the Hamptons when it opens a new location for the upscale Italian restaurant chain Sant Ambroeus.
The concept from SA Hospitality Group is slated to open in 2026 in the forthcoming mixed-use Knox Street development next to the Katy Trail. The Italian eatery’s roots go back to 1936, when two pastry chefs opened it in Milan.
“Inspired by the story of the fourth century’s Saint Ambrogio — the patron saint of Milan — the team gave their pasticceria and confetteria the Milanese dialect version of his name. With this, Sant Ambroeus was born, and a devoted following soon emerged,” reads a description on the chain’s website.
The new location in Dallas will be 7,800 square feet and offer all-day dining. The restaurant, which will include a dedicated outdoor patio space, is the first to be officially confirmed in the Knox Street development.
Stephen Summers, head of retail leasing for Knox Street, said Sant Ambroeus is “one of the top restaurant operators in the industry and the perfect addition to Knox Street,” per CultureMap Dallas.
Partners Gherardo Guarducci and Dimitri Pauli are bringing the concept to North Texas. The pair also operates numerous other establishments, including the Italian fine-dining restaurant Casa Level in Midtown Manhattan.
“We are thrilled to announce the opening of the first Sant Ambroeus in Texas, marking a significant milestone in the continued growth and evolution of our brand. Knox Street has long been a treasured part of Dallas, and as it grows, we’re excited to help shape its vibrant future,” said Guarducci.
