Police Seek Suspect in Pleasant Grove Drive-by Shooting

Dallas police said they are looking for a suspect who opened fire and killed a man after a fight broke out near a car wash in Pleasant Grove on Saturday morning.

Dallas Police officers were dispatched to a shooting scene around 4:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 9. The shooting occurred at the intersection of Lake June and Prairie Creek Roads.

Responding officers found 30-year-old Gregorio Romero with a gunshot wound. Dallas Fire-Rescue responded and transported Romero to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Dallas police are currently searching for the alleged shooter. Police described the suspect as a Latin male who is approximately twenty-seven years old. Police said he was driving a black 2007 Chevy Corvette with two chrome rims.

Dallas PD does not know the motive for the shooting, but the department’s Homicide Unit is seeking the public’s help in apprehending the suspect. The unit asks those with information regarding the shooting to contact Detective David Grubbs at 214-671-3675 or via [email protected].
