Detectives with the Arlington Police Department are searching for a person of interest in connection with a homicide investigation. The murder occurred on December 10, 2021, in an apartment in the 6400 block of Rivertrail Circle.
The victim, Alphonso Lewis Jr., was shot to death in his apartment. Police were called to the scene just before 5 a.m. after one of Lewis’ family members found him unresponsive on the floor, per NBC 5.
According to NBC 5’s report, police are considering the possibility that the victim was involved in “high-risk activity,” as there were no signs of forced entry.
No suspect has been identified in the 34-year-old’s killing. However, videos from nearby surveillance cameras captured footage of a man around the apartment at the time police believed the shooting occurred.
Arlington PD has now released the image of the man and are calling him a person of interest.
The unidentified individual is wearing a face mask in the surveillance tape; however, he is wearing a distinctive sweatshirt which police hope that someone may recognize.
Arlington Police encourage anyone who recognizes this person of interest (pictured above) or has any information regarding the crime to contact Detective Van Treeck at 817-459-5691.
Tipsters can also anonymously submit information to Crime Stoppers of Tarrant County at 817-469-8477.
