The Grand Prairie Police Department has released the identity of the suspect arrested following a high-speed chase on March 4.

The chase occurred after Grand Prairie Police attempted to stop the driver of a gray 2019 Volkswagen Altas that was believed to have been stolen.

The driver allegedly refused commands to pull over and led police on a high-speed chase down westbound Interstate 20.

Officers used spike strips to deflate the vehicle’s tires before other motorists formed a barricade around the suspect’s car, effectively ending the chase.

Grand Prairie Police have now identified the driver as 28-year-old Jacory Walker.

Police also said they found drugs and a handgun inside the vehicle.

Walker is now facing charges of evading arrest, possession of a firearm by a felon, unlawful use of a firearm, and possession of marijuana.

Walker was hospitalized for minor injuries and was later transferred to the Dallas County Jail, where he was being held on a $7,000 bond.
