A 29-year-old Fort Worth PD police officer has been arrested for allegedly driving a police car while intoxicated.   

Police were alerted of the alleged actions on February 8, according to WFAA News.

The police officer’s identity has not been released.

He was placed on restricted duty and “stripped of all police powers.”

According to authorities, the policeman was not in uniform or interacting with the public at the time of the incident. He was working in a “support services capacity.” 

An internal investigation is ongoing at the Tarrant County District Attorney’s Office.
