The Dallas Police Department is asking for the public’s help as it searches for a suspect involved in a fatal shooting on Friday, October 29.

Dallas and DART police officers received a report of the shooting at about 5:30 pm. Officers responded to the shooting scene in the 400 block of North Lamar Street, near Ross Avenue, where they found 21-year-old Jabari Griffin wounded. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital, where he died.

Police have now identified the suspect as 20-year-old Dezra Walker-Johnson. Police revealed that their suspect fled the scene after he allegedly shot Griffin.

The Dallas PD asks anyone with information about the suspect’s whereabouts to contact Detective Josue Rodriguez at 214-701-8453 or [email protected] and refer to case No. 196657-2021.

Crime Stoppers also offers a $5,000 reward to anyone with information that might lead to Walker-Johnson’s arrest and indictment.
