Police Investigating Fatal Shooting in Dallas Home

The Dallas Police Department has opened an investigation into the fatal shooting of a 47-year-old man in West Virginia Drive.

According to CBS 11 News, Dallas PD officers responded to a shooting call in the 8000 block of West Virginia Drive at about 6:00 p.m. on January 13.

Upon arrival, responding officers found the 47-year-old man in his residence with a gunshot wound.

Dallas Fire-Rescue responded to the scene and transported the victim to a nearby hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

Dallas police identified the victim as Mikel Ford, according to CBS 11 News.

Police have not revealed the motives and circumstances surrounding the fatal shooting, nor have they identified any suspect connected to the homicide.
