Police Investigating Death of 25-Year-Old Found Shot in Car

The Dallas Police Department is investigating the death of a 25-year-old woman who first responders found shot in a car.

According to Dallas Police, officers received a call about a shooting incident in the 3800 block of East Illinois Avenue at approximately 4:07 p.m. on March 9.

Police said Dallas Fire-Rescue responded to the scene and found the victim in the driver’s seat of a car with a gunshot wound to her upper back.

Dallas Police have identified the victim as 25-year-old Shanique Shameion Alex. Dallas Fire-Rescue transported her to a nearby hospital, where she died of her injuries.

Police also revealed that a second victim, who had been a passenger in the vehicle, was found injured.

The injured victim was hospitalized and remained in stable condition.
