Police found a dead 12-year-old girl at an extended-stay hotel in The Colony, The Dallas Morning News reported.    

Per the report, The Colony Police Department received a call about the death of the child around 1 p.m. on Monday at the Budget Suites of America in the 5200 block of State Highway 121.

When officers arrived, they found the lifeless girl at the scene. The Colony Fire Department also responded to the call, and firefighters confirmed that she was dead.  

The girl was identified at the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office as Anilah Saddler.   

Police said that Saddler’s family members reported that the girl had been sick at home for several days before her death, according to the Dallas Morning News.    

While police could not find any signs of foul play in the girl’s death, they said an investigation is ongoing.
