Bastrop Police arrested a suspect in the shooting of a Texas deputy who was shot on March 13.
Bastrop County Deputy Sawyer Wilson was shot two times in the chest at a gas station in Bastrop.
According to Bastrop County Sheriff Maurice Cook, Deputy Wilson suffered two bullets to the chest. The officer also got shot in the forearm.
However, he was wearing a protective vest and did not suffer any life-threatening injuries. Authorities expect him to recover.
Police apprehended the suspect, 33-year-old Michael Stark, on March 14. According to Sheriff Cook, Stark has been arrested more than twenty-five times in the past.
It is unclear what charges Stark is facing.
