Dallas police arrested a suspect on Saturday, October 30, for allegedly shooting a 46-year-old man during a robbery.

Dallas Express previously reported that Diavontain Shamar Hill, 24, was identified as the prime suspect in the fatal shooting of 46-year-old Nizar Raiyyani on Sunday, October 24. The shooting allegedly happened after an argument between both men turned into a robbery.

Hill shot the victim in the 4800 block of South Buckner Boulevard just after 9 a.m., and paramedics pronounced Raiyyani dead at the scene.

Police had earlier announced one day before Hill’s arrest that they were looking for him but did not reveal how he was identified as a suspect.

According to Dallas County Jail records, Hill was booked on Saturday morning and faces one count of capital murder.

Bail for Hill, who was also being held on several warrants, was not set as of Saturday afternoon.
