Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Truck, Interstate Shut Down

This morning in Fort Worth, all lanes headed northbound on Interstate 820 were shut down after a pedestrian was hit and killed by a truck.

According to Fort Worth police, the individual ran onto the freeway just after 7 a.m. on January 5, and an oncoming truck struck them.

At 9:30 a.m., the interstate lanes remained closed, and traffic going north was directed off of the highway at the Brentwood Stair Road exit.

No further information is currently available regarding the victim’s identity or the incident.

Police are conducting an investigation.
