The Industry Summit announced their Partners in Progress 2021 honor roll on July 29 during a live stream held at the Donald Stephens Convention Center in Chicago. This year’s list includes industry pioneers and leaders who are playing prominent roles. 

The Partners In Progress award is sponsored by The National Sports Collectors Convention and is given to leaders and innovators who have made significant contributions to the growth of the memorabilia industry and card trading. The awards will be presented at The Industry Summit in Las Vegas at the Westgate Resort September 12-15. The list of honorees for 2021 includes: 

Brian Gray – Owner and CEO of Leaf Trading Cards since 2010 – Mr. Gray was CEO of Razor Entertainment from 2005 to 2010 and is considered one of the most exciting and energetic people in the hobby. He has created a considerable niche in the industry by producing cards without a licensing agreement with the league.

Nick Matijevich – Senior Director of Product Development at Panini America, Inc. has a long history in the industry. He is considered one of the brightest product minds in the industry. His experience includes working for Donruss Playoff L.P. (2000-2005) and Press Pass Inc. Product Development (2006-2015). Highlights include key roles in product development at Donruss Playoff (2000-2005) and Press Pass Inc. (2006-2015).  

The Veres Family – Rob, Ryan, and Stephen, at Burbank Sports Cards – Rob Veres is the owner of Burbank Sports Cards. Rob’s son, Ryan, is the general manager. His father, Stephen, was a co-founder and still works in the company. Burbank Sports Cards has the largest inventory of any local card store in the country.
