A major accident involving an overturned 18-wheeler caused all lanes to shut down on Interstate 45.
The incident occurred around 10:45 a.m. on January 13 near the Pennsylvania Avenue exit in South Dallas.
Debris from the cab of the truck could be seen strewn on the freeway as Chopper 11 flew over the area.
A Dallas Fire-Rescue spokesman, Jason Evans, said one person was transported to a hospital, but the victim’s condition remains unknown.
Officials are not sure of the cause of the accident or the number of vehicles involved.
Drivers were asked to avoid the area by the Texas Department of Transportation Dallas field office.
