Corporations like Amazon, Starbucks, and American Airlines are sponsoring “Dallas Pride” this year. Several events, including the flagship event, the Dallas Pride Parade and Festival, are open to children.

The Dallas Pride Parade will be open to “all.” It promises a “rainbow feast for the eyes,” with a mile-long parade of more than 200 entries. Photos from last year’s parade include drag queens in sexual poses, performers in little clothing, and apparent “furries” — who identify as an “anthropomorphized animal.”

The Dallas Pride Music Festival will similarly be open to “all,” and it is advertised as a “family-friendly event.” The festival includes various drag performances, including acts called  “The Drag Kings of DFW,” “The Rose Room Cast,” and “The Queer Off.” Photos from last year’s festival depict scantily-clad performers and drag queens and LGBT activism booths.  The festival will feature a “Family Pride Zone,” and events for “Teen Pride” – targeted at “LGBTQ+ youth ages 13 to 19 and their friends.” These teen events include activities labeled “age appropriate,” alongside “live entertainment from artists and DJs.”
