A traffic accident occurred on I-20 Sunday shortly before 2 p.m. in Arlington. An SUV containing seven people, including a 9-month-old boy, was hit from behind by an 18-wheeler.

According to police, the child was possibly unrestrained as the SUV swerved in front of the truck, causing the crash. The hit resulted in the SUV going off the road and flipping multiple times.

Investigators suspect the child was sitting in an adult’s lap, as the vehicle was designed only to seat five people. Upon the wreck, the boy was ejected from the SUV.
