The Dallas Police Department and the United States Marshals Service have launched a new fugitive apprehension operation aimed at rounding up suspects wanted for violent offenses and keeping them off city streets.

The initiative, called “Operation We Got You,” runs through May 8 and has already produced its first arrest.

U.S. Marshals’ North Texas Fugitive Task Force members took 19-year-old Eric Lampkin-Scarborough into custody on warrants for insufficient bonds tied to a 2024 felony prohibited weapon charge and a misdemeanor evading arrest or detention charge.

During the arrest, officers seized four guns — one reported stolen and another converted to fire automatically — along with 25.5 grams of fentanyl, 24 grams of crack cocaine, 3.9 grams of methamphetamine, and more than $1,900 in cash.

The Dallas Police Fugitive Unit and the North Texas Fugitive Task Force are continuing to hunt for additional suspects with violent felony warrants.

Authorities are asking the public to help by calling CrimeStoppers at 214-373-TIPS (8477). Tipsters can earn a cash reward for information that leads to an arrest and indictment on felony charges.
