North Texas is gearing up for a surge in visitors as the 2026 FIFA World Cup approaches, particularly with matches set to take place at AT&T Stadium, which will host nine games—more than any other city in the U.S.

Significant interest in the region is driving a spike in bookings, with short-term rentals seeing a substantial 102% increase since the group-stage match schedule was announced, reported Candy’sDirt.

Key dates, such as June 14 and June 17, are particularly popular, causing accommodation options near the stadium to fill up quickly and prices to rise.

While Dallas is leading the charge with a historic number of hotel developments—197 projects and over 24,000 rooms set to be available—affordability remains a concern. For example, rates at the new Loews Arlington Hotel next to AT&T Stadium can reach over $3,600 for premium suites. Other prominent hotels in the area are also nearing full capacity, with average nightly rates hovering around $450 during peak events, per Candy’sDirt.

Meanwhile, short-term rental markets in nearby cities like Arlington are thriving, as demand from soccer fans grows amid ongoing legal uncertainties regarding short-term rentals in Dallas itself. Despite this, many hosts in the region expect to earn more during the tournament.
