The body of an unidentified man was found floating in Bachman Lake in Dallas on Sunday, a Dallas Fire-Rescue spokesperson said.

Dallas Fire-Rescue recovered the body at 9 a.m. near the intersection of Webb Chapel Extension and Bachman Drive, according to WFAA. The Dallas Police Department and the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office are investigating the incident.

As previously reported by The Dallas Express, Bachman Lake is a 205-acre lake surrounded by a park that has a hike and bike trail, pavilions, and boating facilities. A dam was created in 1901, making Bachman Lake the city’s first water supply reservoir, but its purpose has since changed to recreational use.

A cause of death has yet to be made public by authorities, and it is unclear whether foul play is suspected.

Last year, a woman had to be saved by first responders after her car crashed into Bachman Lake. Video camera footage captured the moment when two Dallas police officers jumped into the body of water and helped the woman get to a dock on the lake. They gave her CPR, and she was transported to an area hospital, WFAA reported.
