Man in Critical Condition After Being Shot in the Head

According to a report by Dallas Morning News, Mesquite police say a man was in critical condition after being shot in the head late Thursday at an apartment building.

Officers from the Mesquite Police Department responded to reports of a shooting in the 900 block of West Cartwright Road, near the LBJ Freeway and Belt Line Road. When they arrived at the scene, they found a man lying on the stairs to an apartment.

Police say the man had been shot in the head and was in critical condition. He was transferred to a hospital.

Mesquite Police have not publicly revealed the identity of the man, nor have they released information about what led to the shooting. Officers have also not identified any suspects in this shooting.
