Dallas police have revealed that a 62-year-old man was charged with murder on Monday, October 11, in connection with the death of a woman in the Cedar Crest neighborhood of Dallas.  

The woman was shot in the 2300 block of Alabama Street at about 10 a.m. on Monday. Dallas Police officers responded to the scene after receiving a call about the shooting.   

Officers found the woman with a gunshot wound and lying on the floor of a boarding room. Dallas Fire-Rescue also responded at the scene and pronounced the woman dead.  

According to Dallas police, detectives discovered the victim had been in a conflict with another woman before being fatally shot.    

Dalla police said they arrested 62-year-old Robert Lee Grant in connection to the fatal shooting. Grant is now facing a murder charge, and his bond has not been set as of Monday.   

Dallas police did not reveal the identity of the victim.
