Fire crews found the bodies of a man and a dog while they put out a fire that engulfed a portion of an apartment complex in far northeast Dallas on Sunday, November 7.

Firefighters were called to the Eleven-600 Apartments in the 11000 block of Audelia Road, near 635 in Northeast Dallas, around 4 am on Sunday.

The fire crews found heavy fire coming from the roof of the apartment building. Firefighters got the fire under control in about forty-five minutes.

While the firefighters were getting the blaze under control, they found the bodies of a man and a dog in one of the apartments.

The majority of the fire damage was contained to three apartments, while others had smoke and water damage.

Authorities are still investigating how the fire started, but they believe it started in the apartment where firefighters found the man and the dog.
