Dallas rapper Yella Beezy, whose legal name is Markies Deandre Conway, was arrested on Thursday, November 4, in Plano on an outstanding warrant for a sexual assault charge. He also faces charges of child endangerment and unlawfully carrying a weapon, police say.

The 30-year-old rapper was initially held in the Collin County jail, but court records show that he posted a $57,500 bond on Friday.

Conway has been arrested several times for being on the wrong side of the law. His February arrest was one of his most high-profile arrests.

The rapper was arrested in February on a misdemeanor charge of unlawful carrying of a weapon. According to an arrest affidavit, Dallas police performed a traffic stop on the rapper’s SUV in the 3100 block of Southern Oaks Boulevard after officers noticed his heavily tinted windows. The rapper allegedly pulled off a strip mall’s parking lot without yielding to traffic on East Overton Road.

The affidavit showed that police asked Conway, the only occupant of the SUV, to roll down one of the windows, but the rapper said he couldn’t because the vehicle’s windows were bulletproof.

An officer then asked Conway to step out of the vehicle. One of the arresting officers reported seeing a firearm in plain sight on the floorboard of the SUV.

The officers found five guns in the Suv. Police said one of the weapons found in his SUV was reported stolen in Frisco.

According to the affidavit, Dallas police arrested Conway after he admitted owning the guns. The testimony also showed that the rapper was a documented gang member.

Allen police also arrested Conway in August on drug and weapons charges.

Conway, raised in the Oak Cliff neighborhood of Dallas, is known for his mixtapes “Ain’t No Goin’ Bacc” and “Baccend Beezy.” Conway was shot three times in Lewisville while driving on the Sam Rayburn Tollway in October 2018.
