The Fort Worth Police Department needs the public’s help in identifying a hit-and-run suspect.

The incident happened just after 2:45 p.m., May 28, in the 6300 block of the South Freeway, near Altamesa Boulevard, according to FWPD.

The driver crashed into another vehicle and left the scene without helping, detectives said.

Officers found the injured victim on the northbound service road.

The vehicle, said investigators, is an older model Toyota 4Runner.

Any witnesses or anyone with information on the suspected vehicle can call Fort Worth Police at 817-392-4886.

This was the first of two Fort Worth hit-and-run accidents in the last several days.

On May 30, FWPD shut down the East Freeway for several hours after a deadly hit-and-run.

FWPD said a car fatally struck a woman in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 30 near Eastchase Parkway around 3 a.m. The freeway reopened around 6:30 a.m.

Later, a person showed up at Arlington Memorial Hospital requesting aid from a car wreck. Investigators detained the individual who they believe was the driver in the hit-and-run.
