On Monday, an elementary school in Pleasant Grove was placed on lockdown after police received reports of an active shooter near the area.

Around 11:30 a.m., Dallas Police arrived at the 9500 block of Scyene Road between North Prairie Creek Road and North Masters Drive.

According to the authorities, a leasing office nearby was damaged by bullet holes, causing the Pleasant Grove ISD’s police department to place C.A. Tatum Jr. Elementary School on lockdown. The school is located about one block east of the leasing office, in the 3000 block of North St. Augustine Road.

School officials stated the school was not in any danger.

Police have not disclosed if any suspects have been identified. An investigation is ongoing.
