Fort Worth Police carried out a drug bust on March 30. Per CBS News, $50,000 in cash was seized as well as marijuana, mushrooms, and guns.
Authorities say that narcotics officers were watching a suspected drug house when they saw two vehicles drive by, allegedly to make significant drug purchases.
When police stopped the first vehicle upon its departure, a search yielded the seizure of guns and drugs.
The suspect in the second vehicle then drove away from the house, and officers tailed him to a nearby convenience store. A marked police car coincidentally arrived at the store at the same time, and the suspect walked out. He left the area on foot without returning to his vehicle.
A drug-sniffing K9 alerted officers to the car. Police obtained a warrant to break into the vehicle, where they discovered additional stolen guns and drugs.
The Fort Worth Police Department said detectives have identified the second suspect and are working on his arrest.
Authorities seized 12 pounds of marijuana and 124 grams of mushrooms, as well as recovered several stolen guns.
