An inmate at the Collin County Detention Facility was found dead on the afternoon of February 11.
According to a report by CBS 11 News, the inmate was found unresponsive on his bunk in a single-person cell. The Collin County Sheriff’s Office told the station that officers at the facility found the inmate while conducting a routine 30-minute observation.
The McKinney Fire Department was called, and upon arrival, first responders declared the inmate dead.
The Texas Rangers are conducting an investigation into the death. The results of their investigation are yet unknown.
