The May 1 elections saw more early voting this year than in-person voting on Election Day.

Altogether 67,776 Dallasites voted in the municipal elections. Of those, 46% percent, or 31,225, voted in person on Election Day.

Early voting drew in 36,446 voters. Of those 33,246 voted early in person and 3,200 voted early by mail. 

The District 8 race, won by Tennell Atkins, saw the highest percentage of early voters at 63%.

The District 11 race had 592 votes cast by mail, which was the highest percentage of early mail in ballots of any race. The winner of that race will be decided in a June runoff along with Districts 2 and 11. 

District 1, won by Chad West, saw the most Election Day in-person voters comprising 56% of votes cast.
