A man who taught gymnastics for decades has been arrested for allegedly sexually abusing a child, Dallas police say. Per the report, Edouard Iarov was arrested on Friday afternoon in a joint operation by Dallas police and U.S. Marshals task force. He was booked into jail with his bail set at $200,000.

Edouard Iarov, 69, is charged with one count of continuous sexual abuse of a child younger than 14.

Per The Dallas Morning News, Iarov has worked as a gymnastics coach for over forty years. In 2012, he became the owner of a Far North Dallas gym and named it Iarov Elite Gymnastics. It is unclear whether the accusation of abuse made against him involved a student at the gym.

It is unclear whether Iarov has an attorney.

Dallas police urge anyone with information about potential victims of abuse to contact the department through Detective Dwayne Cooper at 214-275-1329. Informants can also send an email to [email protected].

Update: As of August 17, 2022, no evidence had been uncovered to support the accusations against Iarov, and he was cleared of all charges.

I want to share good news with you. The false accusation made against me in December 2021 is completely dropped on June 17 of this year.
I want to express my gratitude to everyone who helped in this – these are my colleagues and friends from Canada, the USA and Kazakhstan.
Below you can read the letter of my friend who helped me in this matter. He posted this on his FB

I just recently had to walk with a friend through a false charge against him. The worst kind of charge, where even the accusation causes you to lose business, friends to distance themselves and even family to doubt.
If you know how our criminal system works, you don’t go straight to trial: you go through a grand jury first — where witnesses can address the charges and try and stop the process there. It is
rarely successful, as the standard to move forward is very easy to meet — I mean never, almost never is a “no bill” returned stopping the proceedings.
In this new era of “guilty and cancelled” before any real evidence is presented, I was not hopeful for my friend — though the charges were literally ludicrous. To make it worse, my friend is an
immigrant to this country. A hero and in high standing because of his professional accomplishments there (gifts from high ranking dignitaries, and national awards fill his office) — but quite unknown and normal here.
Today, I got to see the (almost) miraculous in law: a NO BILL. Not enough credible evidence to even pursue looking into it!
Now, mind you, his business has been destroyed and his reputation will never recover, but at least he doesn’t have to face down all of this in public — and his legal bills can stop (to an extent).
Its sad to me, that a man who has 6+ DECADES of building an awesome literally world-renown reputation can be destroyed by one person’s “claim”. To say nothing of all of those gossips and uninformed who passed on false insinuations and accusations. Will they
go back and correct the damage they’ve done?
So, I’m thinking I’ll be more careful — and we all should be — to jump on the gossip/negativity bandwagon — even in our minds — and be more willing to hear the full story before even attempting
    to decide the issue.
God says is best: The first to plead his case seems right, Until another comes and examines him. Proverbs 18:17.
Glad to be a part of exonerating a great man. I pray his life can be fully restored, or as close to that as possible.
