A FedEx truck driver was killed Wednesday afternoon in a crash on Interstate 635 in North Dallas, reported NBC 5 DFW.

The crash closed the eastbound lane that afternoon just before 4:30 p.m. along the LBJ Freeway near Hillcrest Road.

Several vehicles were involved in the crash, said a Dallas Fire-Rescue spokesperson, and the FedEx 18-wheeler was overturned.

The Dallas Express reached out for comment from Dallas Fire-Rescue, but the call was not returned by press time.

No other injuries have been reported at this time, and it is not clear what caused the crash.

All eastbound lanes except one between Preston Road and Park Central Drive were still closed at 6 p.m.

Spilled fuel and debris were in the process of being cleaned up on the road, and it was not certain when the road would reopen.

The highways aren’t the problem! Bad drivers and all the distractions in their vehicles are. Even some semi drivers have no business being allowed to drive those vehicles, because they ignore basic rules of the road! Not insinuating this driver was a problem, but many independents are.
