On Tuesday, January 11, Keene police reported a fatal shooting around 1:45 p.m. at a trailer park off Texas Avenue and Alaska Street.

Police arrived at the scene to find one man dead near a white sedan.

Two other people were found with gunshot wounds as well. One was found on a porch on Alaska Street and the other on a block west of Lee Street. They were transported to the hospital and are believed to be in critical condition.

The identities of the victims remain unknown.

Two people are wanted in connection to the shooting.

One, described as a heavy-set adult Hispanic male wearing a gray hoodie and black pants, ran away from the scene on foot.

The other escaped in a small gray or black sedan. which may have been a Chevrolet Sonic.

Because one possibly armed suspect fled on foot, the Keene police enlisted the assistance of surrounding departments, including Joshua and Burleson.

Police have not released the cause of the shooting, although it is believed that the suspects and victims may have known each other. It is not yet clear if they have a person of interest in custody.

An investigation is ongoing with the help of the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office.
