A fatal crash involving a semi-truck and a DART bus at the intersection of Plano Road and Miller Road in northeast Dallas left one person dead and six others injured on Monday afternoon, according to Dallas police.
The collision occurred just before 12:30 p.m., when the driver of a semi-truck lost consciousness and drove through the intersection, striking four other vehicles, including another semi-truck, a DART bus, a box truck, and a sedan.
Seven people were transported to a hospital, with one in critical but stable condition and five others sustaining non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the semi-truck that caused the crash died at the hospital, police confirmed.
Authorities believe the driver may have experienced a medical emergency prior to the collision, though the investigation is ongoing.
The names of those involved have not been released.
