The Dallas County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal accident that happened Tuesday along Interstate 20 in Dallas County near St. Augustine.

When asked by The Dallas Express, the sheriff’s office said two vehicles were involved in the accident and confirmed two pedestrians were fatally struck.

The crash happened just before 3 a.m. causing the freeway to be shut down for hours, authorities said.

Why would someone be walking on the freeway. Much less at 3am

What were pedestrians doing on a high speed road at 3am? That’s asking for trouble.
