A miniature pet pig belonging to a family from Grand Prairie has gone missing from his home near I-30 and S.H. 161.

As reported by The Dallas Morning News, the pig, named Chopper, was in his home when the backyard enclosure blew open, allowing him to wander into the front yard. According to the report, a neighbor saw some people grab the pig when it got out. Surveillance footage from a nearby apartment complex shows people getting out of a blue GMC truck and trying to catch the pig.

The Grand Prairie father, Jose Santana, filed a police report and is offering a reward to whoever returns Chopper. Santana said that his children are saddened by the disappearance of the pet their father had surprised them with for Christmas.

Chopper is described as a tiny black and white pig.

Santana further said the family is not interested in knowing who took their pet, and the person can remain anonymous. “We just want Chopper back. No questions asked,” he said.

The amount of the reward offered for Chopper’s return was not disclosed.
