A dive team from the Hood County Sheriff’s Office recovered a vehicle on Sunday that had rolled into the Brazos River in Granbury.

According to reports on Hood County Today, the dive team received a call about an underwater vehicle at approximately 9:45 a.m. on May 8.

Per the report, the vehicle — a Ford Ranger — sank after a prospective fisherman had pulled up to the boat ramp and left the truck in neutral. Officials said it had rolled into the water before it could be stopped.

The dive team arrived at the scene located at the 800 block of Panama Court in Granbury. Divers were able to pull the truck out of the water with the aid of a tow truck after securing the vehicle with a rope.

The Hood County Sheriff’s Office did not release the fisherman’s identity.

Authorities did not provide any further detail but said no injuries were reported.
