“Love that there’s a new shop in Deep Ellum with GOOD coffee! Perfect place to stop by on my way to the children’s hospital for work. Friendly staff and love the addition of a record player for ambiance!” said a review from Vanessa Rodriguez on Google.

Pax & Beneficia first opened in Las Colinas, Irving, in 2019, shortly before the COVID-19 pandemic wreaked havoc on businesses, particularly cafes, bars, and restaurants. Despite the bumpy start, the coffee chain has seen its presence in the region rapidly expand, with six additional locations in North Texas, including Victory Park in Downtown Dallas, Grapevine, Plano, Downtown Fort Worth, Waterside, and now, Deep Ellum.

“Texas boasts a vibrant coffee culture, offering something for every palate—from bold espressos to smooth, creamy lattes. At Pax & Beneficia Coffee, we stand out by sourcing our beans from local and international roasters, ensuring you enjoy the freshest and most flavorful cup every time,” reads a description on the chain’s website.

The new coffee shop occupies the space that formerly housed Land of a Thousand Hills Coffee and Social (LTH Coffee) on Canton Street, close to the center of Deep Ellum’s nightlife. The location is open Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
