A Four Deuce Oakland Crips member was sentenced to 7½ years in federal prison for the armed theft of a Corvette in Deep Ellum, the latest conviction tied to the Operation Blue Laces gang investigation in South Dallas.
Travion Williams, 23, was sentenced September 16 by U.S. District Judge Brantley Starr after pleading guilty August 26, 2025, to carjacking and brandishing a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Texas announced September 17.
The office identified Williams as a Four Deuce Oakland Crips member and said 12 defendants associated with the gang have been convicted of federal offenses.
Armed Carjacking In Deep Ellum
According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office account of Williams’ guilty plea, the December 6, 2023, robbery began in Deep Ellum as two people walked toward a 2020 Chevrolet Corvette parked across the street from a restaurant.
Williams and two co-conspirators, wearing masks, were sitting in a car parked next to the Corvette, the office said. Williams and one co-conspirator got out with handguns, took the Corvette key, a bracelet, a cell phone and a wallet, and drove off in the stolen car.
Williams and a co-conspirator then led police on a high-speed chase, abandoned the Corvette under a bridge overpass, jumped a fence and ran into an industrial park, prosecutors said.
While fleeing on foot, Williams dropped a Glock 19 9mm pistol that he had during the carjacking.
Officers caught and arrested him. The Dallas Police Department and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives investigated the case.
“Armed gang members who hijack public spaces and terrorize citizens in North Texas will face federal consequences—period,” U.S. Attorney Ryan Raybould said in the September 17 sentencing announcement.

The sentencing follows the Operation Blue Laces takedown that The Dallas Express covered on March 3, 2025.
That report described the arrests of eight suspected 42 Oakland Crips members in South Dallas’ Wheatley Place neighborhood. The U.S. Attorney’s Office announced that the investigation was led by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, with assistance from Dallas police and other federal, state and local agencies.
Agents seized 14 firearms, more than a kilogram of methamphetamine pills, other narcotics, six vehicles, more than $47,000, and gang-themed jewelry. Authorities also seized a live caiman, which was transferred to the Dallas Zoo, according to the February 28, 2025, U.S. Attorney’s Office release.

The Casey Street Connection
In that February 2025 announcement, the U.S. Attorney’s Office described allegations of daily drug dealing on Casey Street, in an area called the “Dead End.”
Prosecutors said phone records presented at a detention hearing showed participants warning one another about impending raids, sending young people to search for missing drugs afterward and resuming sales once officers left.
Williams was named in that announcement on carjacking and firearm charges. Other defendants faced drug charges across the operation’s three indictments.
