One person is dead and two people are injured after a crash involving a Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) bus Sunday.
Dallas Fire and Rescue responded to several 911 calls about a collision involving a DART bus and another vehicle on December 17, 2022, around 9 p.m.
The DART bus was on Route 218 when a truck ran through the Lawnview Avenue and Scyene Road intersection. The crash knocked over power lines, causing a small grass fire that firefighters speedily extinguished.
When firefighters arrived, they removed the driver from the truck. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two bus passengers were taken to the hospital with non-fatal injuries. DART police are investigating this crash.
