Dallas residents are once again calling out mail thieves in the area following more alleged thefts taking place in the Lower Greenville neighborhood.
One Dallas resident posted a photo on the Ring Neighbors application to ask for help from fellow residents, claiming that a woman wearing a pink shirt and grey shorts stole mail from their property.
“Mail theft! Does anyone recognize this woman? Please message with any information,” wrote the original post.
Further details from this post indicate that the woman had blonde hair and was driving a scooter at the time of the incident.
Multiple residents commented under this post to claim that the woman identified in the picture had stolen mail from their properties as well.
“Same women on our porch a while ago!” wrote a resident.
“Looks like the same women who stole my mail. Took it out of my mailbox!” claimed one post.
Another of these comments claimed that this woman “steals peoples mail and packages all the time,” adding that she is often seen in similar footage with her dog.
“Has a little frenchie dog. She’s the worst. Someone mentioned she might live in one of the apartments at Matilda and McCommas,” stated the comment.
Currently, there is no indication about whether each of the specific claims made by these residents is accurate.
Many other responses encouraged the original poster to reach out to either the Dallas Police Department or the postal inspector to file a report.
“File a police report ASAP (you can do so online) and send the video with it. DPD has technology they can use to help ID,” wrote one comment.
“Stealing mail is a federal felony. Contact the us postal inspector who can put this derelict away where she isn’t stealing what doesn’t belong to her!” wrote another poster.
Further down in this post, the original resident updated everyone to let them know that the woman had been located. However, further updates have not been provided at the time of publishing.
“I found her she lives in the apartments of off mccommas and bremen apartment f she was outside smoking and the scooter was at the bottom of the stairs.”
As previously reported by The Dallas Express, mail theft and porch piracy have seemingly become common issues that Dallas residents are forced to deal with.
