Dallas Residents Call For Action After Alleged Porch Pirates Steals Mail

A woman seen in Ring doorbell footage allegedly taking mail from a Dallas resident’s porch while walking her dog. Some neighbors claim she has been spotted multiple times in the area.

Dallas residents are once again warning about potential porch pirates, with one claiming that a woman is allegedly using stolen information to send herself money.

The resident posted a video on the Ring Neighborhood app, claiming the woman “stole important mail and has been using the info to try and Cash App themselves.”

In the video, a woman wearing a black shirt and grey shorts can be seen approaching the porch while walking her dog.

She briefly surveys the area before looking through the mailbox, appearing to search through the mail before placing it into a red bag slung across her body.

Many residents responded to the post calling for action, with one writing in the comments, “Notify the postmaster — they do not mess around with mail theft.”

Multiple others encouraged the original poster to contact the police, explaining that the suspect may have left evidence.

“Probably left her fingerprints all over your mailbox. Tampering with someone’s mail is also a federal offense,” one commenter wrote.

“Probably left fingerprints on that card she put on the door if you call the police,” added another.

Other residents alleged they had seen the same woman in the area taking mail, though no evidence has confirmed whether it is the same person.

“I see her posted all the time!!! With the dog and pink bag. How has she not been identified yet???” one commenter wrote.

“Same lady that stole off my porch on Bremen in that exact same outfit and red bag on 7/18,” wrote another.

These concerns come as porch pirates have increasingly been called out across Dallas, with many residents using the Ring Neighborhood app to share their experiences.

As previously reported by The Dallas Express, this has led to confusion about whether these alleged porch pirates are stealing items — or if packages are simply being delivered to incorrect addresses.

Meanwhile, some residents have taken drastic measures to deter thieves, with one placing days-old cat litter in a package they suspected might get stolen.
