FAT Brands Inc. is set to open the first Fatburger and Buffalo’s Express in Dallas proper.
The new locations will open in the Preston Hollow Village development, taking the space formerly occupied by Dugg Burger beside Modern Market at 7949 Walnut Hill Lane #120.
A grand opening celebration is scheduled for November 22 at 10:30 a.m., during which the first 100 patrons will receive a complimentary Original Fatburger. Additionally, guests can enjoy free fries with any purchase throughout the day.
The Dallas Express was onsite at the then-new Plano location to generously taste-test the LA-based burger joint when it opened in 2022. At the time, the self-proclaimed “Last Great Hamburger Stand” did not disappoint.
Now, Dallasites will not have to venture far to enjoy the franchise known for its made-to-order burgers with customizable toppings, like chili and eggs.
The new spot will be joined by Buffalo’s Express, serving bone-in and boneless chicken wings with plenty of dipping sauce options.
“Texas continues to be a high-growth market for Fatburger and Buffalo’s Express,” said Jake Berchtold, COO of FAT Brands’ Fast Casual Division, in a press release. “The Dallas opening is a testament to the strong demand we have seen across the market, and showcases the recipe for success we have created with our fresh, made-to-order menu coupled with an energetic, welcoming dining environment.”
Fatburger was founded in Los Angeles in 1952 by Lovie Yancey. Alongside its popular hamburgers, the franchise serves up Fat and Skinny fries, sweet potato fries, onion rings, and hand-scooped milkshakes made with real ice cream.
The chain has developed a reputation as a hot spot for Hollywood celebrities, with some considering the quality better than other chains, like In ‘N’ Out Burger.
The new Preston Hollow Village Fatburger will mark the chain’s eighth location in North Texas.
