“The Dallas music community saw a need to use our collective voices for good, and we quickly put together this concert to benefit those devastated by the tragic flooding in Kerr County,” Visit Dallas Director of Communications Zane Harrington said in a statement, per WFAA.

“Our goal for the event is simple: Fill the room and raise as much money as possible for our fellow Texans in need. All proceeds will go directly to the Kerr County Flood Relief Fund.”

Dezi 5, who operates the Dallas Entertainment Awards, says he knew he could rely on the group of local artists to help band together for the effort.

“It was something that simply needed to be done,” he said, per the Dallas Observer.

“Dallas Music Office and Dallas Entertainment Awards did not wait a single moment before creating a benefit event to help Texas flood victims,” said Jay Gavit, DJ Crash from KNON Radio.

Doors to the benefit open at 7 p.m.
