The Dallas Police Department is trying to find the driver of a gold sedan who struck another driver as he was getting out of his vehicle on February 7.

According to Dallas Police, the incident happened at 2700 S. Harwood Street at approximately 8:00 a.m.

The victim, Al Brothers, sustained serious injuries after a woman driving a gold sedan struck him as he was exiting his vehicle. Brothers was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

Dallas Police described the woman as a black female with medium curly hair and gold teeth.

In an interview with CBS 11 News, Brothers said he wants the police to find and arrest the driver who struck him. He added that he has forgiven her but would not want what happened to him to happen to anyone else.

Just before she struck him, Brothers and the woman had a disagreement while each was driving.

“As I was going straight down Colonial, the lady behind me was trying to pass and she ended up going around to the left and circling the block and cut me off.”

Brothers said the woman threw something at his vehicle, and he threw his coffee back at her.

“I threw my coffee back, which I was wrong for that,” he said, but added, “That escalation — I could never have fathomed that in a million years that that would happen.”

Brothers revealed that he is in a lot of pain and still must have another surgery as well as undergo physical therapy.

Dallas Police are looking for the woman, and assault detectives are asking anyone with information that might lead to her arrest to contact Detective Jeffrey Coleman at 214-671-3707 or [email protected].
