Award-winning interior designer Kellie Sirna is revolutionizing hospitality spaces across Dallas-Fort Worth with her bold vision and collaborative approach. The founder of Studio 11 Design has evolved her company from a modest startup to a design powerhouse with offices across four cities, bringing fresh energy to iconic local destinations.
In a recent interview with Sarah Zubiate Bennett, Sirna revealed details about her latest high-profile projects, including the newly opened Fountain Place Club in downtown Dallas. The innovative space features an indoor pickleball court with brass inlays that transforms into an elegant event venue.
“We did a really beautiful wood floor with brass inlaid material. The net pulls up and can kind of go away,” Sirna explained. “It can be a really beautiful venue space for tenants.”
Sirna’s firm also designed the upscale Bob’s Steak & Chophouse in McKinney, featuring a “sexy cool cigar room” that elevates the classic steakhouse experience. Her portfolio extends to the upcoming Dream Hotel in Frisco’s Firefly Park, slated for completion by late 2025.
Despite her professional success, Sirna considers raising her two teenage sons her greatest achievement. She credits their father for an effective co-parenting arrangement that enables her demanding career.
“I don’t miss a single moment of my time raising my boys. I feel blessed because I never would have built a company like this had it been like every other Tuesday or week on, week off,” she shared.
Sirna recently launched her first product line, Wild Runway — a fashion-inspired carpet collection for Tarkett. She’s also developing a luxury rug line with Kyle Bunting featuring gemstone-inspired designs.
What truly sets Sirna apart is her perspective on perceived limitations. A self-described mediocre student with ADD, she now views these challenges as advantages in her creative career.
“Use your disabilities as a superpower,” she advises, adding, “That can be your biggest flex if you embrace it and figure out how to use it best.”
